A celebration of literature, art and culture, the Jaipur Literature Festival, has reached the Maldives for its latest international extension. In a collaborative fervour, the organisers of the prestigious Festival, Teamwork Arts, have partnered with Soneva to bring the literary bustle of JLF to Soneva Fushi in the Maldivian precinct of Baa Atoll. Surrounded by the ethereal backdrop of sea and sunsets, the JLF Soneva Fushi (May 13-22,2022) will host an acclaimed lineup of eminent speakers from all over the world and underscore its theme of ‘Slow Life’ this year.
The 10 day Festival, to be held across two weekends, promises a vibrant array of cultural highlights from panel discussions, film screenings to workshops, poetry readings among others. It is another in the long list of International iterations that JLF has undertaken to exhibit and recognise South Asian literary heritage and its multilingual roots at a global stage. “It’s been a dream project to take JLF to Soneva Fushi in the Maldives. Our all-new edition will focus on climate crises, history, geology, fiction and film, alongside delectable cuisine and diverse music and poetry traditions, bringing together the best of world cultures in one place that includes the sun and the sea,” describes Sanjoy K Roy, Managing Director of Teamwork Arts.
