Intour Maldives wins prestigious award celebrating a quarter century of its contribution towards the development of tourism in the Maldives.

I am extremely thankful for the strong determination and hard work of the team behind me, who makes the impossible possible,” says Firaq, the Managing Director of Intour Maldives since its inception.

The ceremony was held on the 17th of July 2022 at Kurumba Maldives. His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih of the Republic of Maldives was the guest of honor for this event.

A selection committee consisting of esteemed tourism industry veterans and executive board members evaluated a list of nominees sent in from various members and resorts as well. the committee then deliberated on the nominations received and compiled a list of award winners to be honored under the theme “50 Years of Tourism Award by MATI”.

The Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization formed in 1982, for the purpose of promoting and developing tourism in the Maldives. Four decades of MATI's service has been provided to almost all the travel and tourism-related issues which arise in Maldives.
